Q1. I’m new to tea—what teaware set should I start with?

A simple starter set is: a gaiwan or teapot + fairness pitcher (gongdao bei) + tasting cups. Choose a gaiwan if you want more control and like tasting different teas; choose a teapot for easier daily brewing.

Q2. What’s the difference between a gaiwan and a teapot?

A gaiwan pours quickly, lets you see the leaves easily, and is great for testing teas. A teapot holds heat better and feels more stable for everyday use.

Q3. What capacity should I choose?

1–2 people: 100–150 ml
2–4 people: 150–250 ml
Group brewing: 250 ml+
Capacity also depends on how strong you like your tea and how fast you prefer to pour.

Q4. Which material is best for different tea types?

All-purpose: porcelain / glass
Green tea: glass or porcelain
Oolong / Pu-erh: many people prefer clay (e.g., Yixing-style) for a rounder taste
Black tea: porcelain or clay both work well

Q5. What’s included in a basic tea set?

Usually: gaiwan/teapot, cups, fairness pitcher, plus optional items like a tea strainer, tea towel, and tongs.

Q1. What materials are your teaware made from? Are they food-safe?

Our teaware is crafted from different materials depending on the piece—such as porcelain, clay, or borosilicate glass—and is intended for food contact.

Q2. What’s the difference between overglaze and underglaze decoration?

Underglaze decoration is generally more durable and scratch-resistant. Overglaze can look more vivid but should be cleaned more gently.

Q3. Why do handmade items look slightly different from each other?

Small variations in shape, glaze flow, color, or patterns are normal in handmade and kiln-fired pieces. Each one is unique.

Q4. Are tiny specks, pinholes, or slight unevenness defects?

Minor natural marks can occur during high-temperature firing and usually don’t affect use. If you’d like, specify your acceptable tolerance and your after-sales policy.

Q1. Do I need to “season” the teaware before first use?

Porcelain / glass: wash with warm water and mild detergent.
Clay (Yixing-style / unglazed): rinse with warm water. Many users prefer to soak or simmer briefly in clean water to remove any natural clay smell (avoid strong detergents).

Q2. Can I use dish soap on clay teapots?

We generally don’t recommend it. Clay can absorb odors. Rinse with clean water and let it air-dry fully.

Q3. How do I remove tea stains?

Soak in warm water and wipe with a soft sponge. For stubborn stains, use baking soda or an oxygen-based cleaner, then rinse thoroughly.

Q4. Is it dishwasher- or microwave-safe?

Many plain porcelain/glass pieces are dishwasher safe.
If your piece has gold/silver trim, decals, or delicate overglaze painting, we recommend hand-washing.
Clay teapots are not recommended for dishwashers.

Q5. Can I heat the teapot/gaiwan directly on a stove?

Only items explicitly labeled stovetop-safe (usually certain borosilicate glass) should be heated directly. Most porcelain and clay teaware should not be used on direct heat.

Q6. How can I prevent cracking?

Avoid sudden temperature changes. Don’t pour boiling water into a cold vessel straight from a cold environment, and don’t rinse a hot pot with cold water immediately.

Q1. Will it break during shipping? How do you pack it?

We use protective packaging such as bubble wrap / foam inserts / double-boxing (edit to match your actual method) to minimize damage in transit.

Q2. What if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us within [48 hours] of delivery with photos (and ideally a short video). We’ll offer a replacement or refund according to our policy.

Q3. How long does shipping take?

The total waiting time = order processing time + shipping time For all orders, typically it takes 1-3 business days to process your order. Orders ship Monday through Friday excluding Holidays. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking number once the order has shipped from the warehouse. Normally for international shipping, please allow 2-3 weeks shipping days.

Q4. Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order as long as the order has not been processed, and you will receive a full refund in 1-3 business days. However, we are not able to cancel it if it’s been processed and shipped, if customer insists to cancel before shipping, we will charge 15% restocking fee for the processing.

Q5. Do you accept returns or exchanges?

We accept returns within [14 days] for unused items in original packaging. Custom or personalized items may be non-returnable (only include if applicable).
